More commisson work! Artwork for a book that I’m really excited to read once it’s finished- it involves desert tribes and sewing magic and phoenixes and princesses, which practically ticks every box for what makes an excellent story. I can’t wait for it!

I’m over the moon and totally honoured to see our baby included in such an incredible list of books; so many creators and titles I admire in there. Last year, Vampire Academy actually won the category - which was just amazing - so to see book two of the series make it into the nominations as well is a happy, gooey feeling ^_^

So I woke up early this morning and wondered if Bonkalore was streaming again and of course she was and lo, she was giving my Wheatley the Bonka treatment and it is wonderful and horrifying and beautiful and OH GOD CORES DON’T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS SORT OF THING OH GOD DO ALL HUMANS GROW TAILS??

We got to discussing how horrible fates befall all the Wheatlies Bonka comes in contact with and I drew this to illustrate.
